AgriculturistNorfleet “Fleet” Sugg

Norfleet “Fleet” Sugg was born in Pinetops and graduated from South Edgecombe High School. He earned a BS in Agronomy from NC State. Sugg served in the Marines in World War II and is an active member of the Edgecombe County Military Museum. He is considered a leader in the state in agriculture and was the CEO of NC Peanut Growers Association. He served as chairman of the Agriculture Council of America, the Executive Vice President of the NC Agribusiness Council, and was first president of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Alumni Society at NC State. Sugg and his wife reside in Pinetops.
