Jimmy Clack played football and basketball at Rocky Mount Senior High and represented the school in the 1964 Shrine Bowl. He earned a degree in history and political science from Wake Forest University in 1969 while playing football and basketball there. He spent 13 years in the National Football League playing in 146 games with nine years as a Pittsburgh Steeler and four years as a New York Giant. He earned two Superbowl rings. He was president and CEO of Impact International in Greensboro and was active in community activities serving on the board or as a volunteer for area chapters of the American Heart Association, Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, American Lung Society, Hospice, YMCA, and Boys and Girls Club. Clack died April 7, 2006.
